Overview
Swoop Magazine was a quarterly lifestyle magazine that focused on Southern California trends, beach culture, local businesses and entrepreneurs. Swoop's target audience consisted of the active professional, beach-lover and trendsetter in their mid twenties to mid forties in the South Bay and Los Angeles areas.
As one of the graphic designers on the team, I was tasked with designing several editorial pages for several quarterly magazines in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment. To communicate what the Swoop brand embodies to its target audience, clean layout and typography are combined with large breath-taking images for content that resonates with the locals while also appearing high-end as well.
Working together with Swoop's writers, photographers, other graphic designers and directors, the team was able to deliver several high quality magazines with informative content that gave viewers an enjoyable experience.
